Currently exhibiting (as monokrush) 2020 Think Outside The Box Art: Curated by MAC ART GALLERIES, FL USA. I was born in the U.S. and raised in Europe, spending most of my childhood in Spain, Portugal, England, and West Africa, as well as shorter stays in a few other countries. My father, a U.N. hydraulic engineer and professional playwright from the UK, and my mother, who worked for The New York Times, traveled extensively, exposing me to a rich and diverse cultural upbringing, which, undoubtedly, influenced my artistic style. In the 90s I used to shoot with film cameras, mainly the 35mm Pentax K1000, the venerable Holga, and the Mamiya 645. I had a darkroom for developing black and white, so I learned photography the old fashioned way. I did not have a computer or digital camera until 2005. But now, I am in love with my iphone and enjoy photography even more because of its accelerated, spontaneous nature. Not to mention the endless expressive possibilities! :) I recently discovered Photocase on a Google search. I was instantly attracted to the style of photography they exemplify. It resonates so much with my own vision. I am really happy to now be part of their creative community. It's a great feeling when you are accepted by a group of like minded people!
